| To our visitors This site is dedicated to,Vicki Kennedy, the true backbone of Kennedy's Bostons. Her love of the breed, knowledge, and handling ability, are the ingredients of what has created and developed the lines we have today. And to our daughter Sarah who has quite an eye for a dog and is an exceptional handler and has brought our dogs to many great wins. |
| Having been in dogs now for more than 25 years, and formally breeders of Poodles, we met the Boston Terrier as a breed back in 1985. All it took was "Just One Kiss" and we were hooked! While living in Fitchburg,MA, we got our first girl, a daughter of Nancy Washburn's Am/Cn Ch Pequoag's Special Beau, from a breeder in Worcester, MA. We then moved to the Red Cloud, NE, for a change in pace. After visiting many dog shows and seeing beautiful Bostons in the ring in such places as Lincoln and Omaha, NE, in the 80's, our quest to breed quality Boston's began. We then moved back to Massachusetts in 1989. We finally bought a house in Athol, MA. Not realizing it, we had moved right into the area where Nancy Washburn lived. We had never actually met her, but as soon as people saw our dogs, they informed us of a lady who raised "those" dogs a couple of miles up the road. We wasted no time in traveling to her home in New Salem, MA. Thus began our relationship with the finest mentor a dog person could find. We also got to meet her Special Beau! We had come full circle! Nancy taught us more than we had bargained for, including proper breeding, handling, grooming, and so on. She was exlemplary in good sportsmanship and prepared us well for the show ring. Striving to breed to the standard and to improve the quality of the Boston Terrier has developed into a passion. Health, quality of structure, proper movement,and temperament are first, with head and markings being the frosting on the cake! With the help and wisdom of other long time breeders and those who cared enough to help, we are able to present our kennel to you , our visitor. We especialy want to thank Nancy Washburn (Pequoag Bostons) , and Tom & Joyce Davis (Davane Bostons), who over the years have given thier unselfish ,long time support. We also want to acknowledge our kennel partner who today are working with us to breed for the good of the Boston Terrier and the betterment of our dogs: Dr. Robert & Ann Lord (Bramley Kennels) of Rollingdam,NB,Canada. | Vicki & Sarah (who now lives down the street in her own house with Lynne Anderson) are home full time with the dogs. Our dogs are our lives and our children and live full time in our home with us as part of the family! All our dogs are on the web site under current dogs and current bitches. |
